✦ Regulation & Nervous System Support

Feel calmer, reduce tension, and help your body settle.

Regulation sessions at SOMA Therapy focus on calming the nervous system, reducing chronic tension, and helping your body settle.

This is a slower, more structured approach designed for those who feel physically “on edge”, overstimulated, or unable to fully relax.

Each session begins with a simple assessment, allowing treatment to be guided by how your body is holding and responding to tension.

Who this is for

  • People experiencing high levels of stress or physical tension

  • Neurodivergent clients, including ADHD

  • Those who find it difficult to relax or switch off

  • Clients holding long-term or chronic tension

  • Young people who benefit from calm, structured sessions

When to book

You may benefit if you:

  • Feel constantly tense, wired, or unable to relax

  • Notice stress showing up physically in your body

  • Feel overstimulated or overwhelmed

  • Experience ongoing tightness without a clear cause

  • Want a slower, more supportive treatment approach

What to expect

Sessions are slower and more structured than standard massage.

We begin with a simple assessment and take time to understand how your body is holding tension.

Treatment is calm, predictable, and adapted throughout to help your body gradually settle.

There is no pressure to tolerate discomfort; sessions are paced in a way that supports safety and regulation.

What this helps with

  • Reducing chronic tension

  • Supporting nervous system regulation

  • Helping your body feel calmer and more settled

  • Creating a sense of physical ease and comfort
